AGV helmets: Amisano Gino Valenza

AGV helmets provides both high comfort and protection. The designs of mainly the full face helmets are sporty with many sharp lines. The open face helmets are trendy, which is to be expected from the Italians. Fashion brand Diesel collaborated with AGV and together they brought a line of beautiful helmets to the market. Great designs are combined with high quality finishing. Since AGV uses 3D scanning to measure head and facial contours, they are able to pay close attention to the fit and comfort of the helmet.

History of AGV helmets

Gino Amisano began producing saddles for bicycles, Vespas and Lambretta's. Amisano also soon saw huge potential in the motorcycle world and in 1947 he started producing motorcycle helmets. His first helmets were actually no more than hardened leather caps, which were painted. You might even say the world of motorcycle helmets was still in its infancy! But development was moving fast.. In the 50's AGV already developed a fibreglass helmet, which looked a bit like an inverted soup bowl. An increasing number of racers chose Amisano as their helmet supplier, who in 1958 signed a sponsorship contract with Giacomo Agostini. Giacomo used the colors of the Italian flag to paint his helmets. The current logo of AGV is on the back of the helmet. After all, that was the one thing most of his rivals saw!
